Beautifully Frugal: Meet Your Advisor: Connor Rosin

This month’s Beautifully Frugal Blog is another Meet Your Advisor feature. I am thrilled to introduce Connor Rosin, an Associate Wealth Advisor who brings more than three years of expertise in the financial services sector. Connor is dedicated to creating strong connections with clients through trust, integrity, and service to help them achieve their financial goals and establish lasting legacies. Having joined KerberRose Wealth Management in January 2023, Connor has quickly become a valuable member of our team.

What made you want to become a Financial Advisor?

“The week I turned 18, I opened my own brokerage account and bought my first stock. Since that day, I have been passionate about investing. Combining that passion with wanting to help people in their day-to-day lives has led me down this career path.”

As a young Advisor what would you say is your biggest challenge, how do you overcome that?

“With any young advisor, a challenge they often faced is experience. The financial advising market is a very competitive space with a lot of talented people, which can make it challenging for young advisors to succeed. Working with and learning from an extremely talented team here at KerberRose has helped launch my career. Utilizing the team’s experience while working alongside CPAs has given me a competitive edge as a young advisor. I’m also currently studying for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, which will provide me further opportunities to build my skills and experience.”

In your experience, what do you believe clients value most?

“Without doubt, clients value relationships and trust most. Not just showing compassion, but also genuine care for the client you are sitting down with. Clients are trusting you with their lifelong savings in some instances — the relationship goes deeper than just managing their money. Growing up in a small town has instilled in me the value of relationships and trust. Bringing those values to my practice has helped me gain a lot of client trust.”

What is your own personal advice to Investors?

“The eighth wonder of the world is compounding interest. Time in the market is extremely valuable and can work wonders for people who start early and often. Retired clients often tell me their only regret isn’t starting sooner. It is never too late to start nor is there an amount too small to start with. Long-term investors get rewarded in the end.“

How has the transition to KerberRose Wealth Management been so far?

“Working with a team that shares the same values and morals as I do has made the move seamless. KerberRose is ahead of the curve when it comes to utilizing technology to make work life easier. KerberRose is also a well-established company in the community, and that sense of credibility goes a long way when networking or prospecting.”

What does Fiduciary Responsibility mean to you?

“A quote I like from Michael Kitces - “Suitability means selling a suit that fits you. Fiduciary duty means that it has to look good on you, too.” There are a lot of lucrative ways financial advisors can get paid. I have seen a lot of plans where products are aimlessly placed. To me, fiduciary duty means actively protecting clients. Putting their best interest ahead of mine and the firms with responsibility to sustain trust.”

Do you have any wisdom for others who may be thinking about moving into this career field?

“This business is a relationship business as much as it is a financial advisory business. Surround yourself with a good team, believe in the ability to sell yourself and you will be successful long term.”

If someone reading this blog was interested in contacting you to look at their particular financial situation or ask for some assistance, how could they do that?

“They can reach me through my email connor.rosin@kerberrose.com or by scheduling a meeting on our website. We are very responsive and always happy to help.”
